Blackjack Knives were founded in 1987 by Mike Stewart and Steven Lewis with their first knives ground by the founder, Mike Stewart in their LA shop. They switched production to Japan for a while but returned to the USA in 1991 producing knives in Effingham, IL.

Blackjack Classics use quality A-2 High Carbon Steel and have convex blades and grind which are excellent at holding edge. They feature quality handles of Leather, Micarta and Stag and leather sheaths/

  • 12” Knife with nearly 7” convex ground A-2 tool high carbon steel clip blade, with pronounced false edge for most of the length of the blade, with satin finish, made of 3/16” thick stock, etched on the front “MODEL #1-7 CLASSIC HUNTER.” The back of the blade is etched “CARBON STEEL & MADE IN USA EFFINGHAM, IL.”  There are some tiny spots on the blade, which has not been sharpened or used. Half brass guard, extending below the handle. Round remarkable Sambar stag handle, expanding to the flat pommel, medium brown with no cracks or chips. There are colorful black, white and red spacers next to the guard. A scarce large knife. A fine knife in Randall style. This high quality leather sheath is designed more for left side carry with the keeper strap across the guard.
